GUHROOVY

GUHROOVY

Hardcore Artist GUHROOVY’s specialty is Shibuya Hardcore Techno. he is the president of the record shop “GUHROOVY” that has stores in Shibuya and Harajuku.

GUHROOVY came to America in 1980 as a singer. He was motivated by the Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, and Hardcore that he heard in Los Angeles. After he returned to Japan, he became involved in the Japanese Hard Rock and Heavy Metal scene dominated by groups such as X JAPAN. In the 1990s, he once again got inspiration, this time from the Jungle music I heard in the U.K. and the Hiphop I heard in New York.
and then began his solo career as “GUHROOVY”. He was featured in beatmania GOTTAMIX in 1998 and has since made several songs for Konami’s music games such as: beatmania IIDX, pop’n music, and GuitarFreaks & DrumMania.

He and NO+CHIN are currently working together as the unit “Groove Rockers”. He’s also in charge of the band “ANIplugged”, which performs unplugged versions of anime songs.

He started the shop “GUHROOVY” in the streets of Harajuku in 1995. It opened as Japan’s first Mixtape/CD specialty store with connections with New York DJs. This year they will celebrate our 15th anniversary and continue to release Hardcore music.

GUHROOVY says “HARDCORE isn’t a music genre, it’s a lifestyle.”

JAKAZiD

JAKAZiD
JAKAZiD is the nickname of 21-year-old dance music producer, remixer and DJ, Josh McInnes. Since an early age Josh was obsessed with dance music so it was only natural for him to want to start producing it himself eventually, and that’s exactly what happened. But what does JAKAZiD mean? Is it a foreign word, an acronym, or possibly something you can chew? The answer is actually neither of these, and is somewhat of an enigma.

In his first year of being signed to Nukleuz, JAKAZiD has made a number of remarkable achievements. Making an appearance on FOUR top-selling UK hardcore compilations, playing a highly successful gig in Japan, remixing for artists such as Lisa Pin-Up, Niels Van Gogh and Koja Yukino and then becoming hired as a regular in-house producer for Nukleuz are just a taster of what’s in store from this young and talented DJ and producer.

M-Project

M-Project

M-Project started making music in the year 2000. He’s worked to spread the Spanish style of hardcore music commonly knows as “MAKINA” and is currently managing four hardcore labels including “MOB SQUAD TOKYO” and “TERRAFORM MUSIC”. Through a variety of genres, they seek to give chaotic performances of hardcore sounds, and we of course appreciate our overseas fans.

The worldwide appeal of this music was shown as in the consecutive years of ‘07-’09, as MAKINA and BIT MUSIC, the largest hardcore label in Spain, teamed up at one of America’s largest anime conventions, “ANIME CENTRAL”.

Also in 2008, M-Project provided a remix for L.E.D.’s “DENJIN K” album (KONAMI) which was released on March 5th. From November of the same year, he provided music for beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS, beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS, and jubeat ripples as well as becoming increasingly more active in the international dance music scene.

DJ Shimamura

DJ Shimamura
DJ Shimamura is a pioneer of the Japanese hardcore scene, having set up one of the first Happy Hardcore labels in Japan, DYNASTY RECORDS.

In 2005 and 2007 his remixes for Japanese pop artists achieved record sales which gained him recognition outside of the hardcore scene, and this has led him to produce music for the video game industry as well. During this time he continued releasing vinyl and has mixed various compilation cds such as ‘Dancemania SPEED’ and ‘TRANCE RAVE’ which were all big sellers in Japan.

In December 2007, 2 of his tracks were included on the Nukleuz CD compilation, ‘Hardcore Adrenaline 3′. One of the tracks, ‘Cant Hold Back’ (DJ Shimamura Remix) was played on Radio 1 by DJ Kutski and also featured in Kutski’s Top 5 Chart in M8 Magazine.
